Eric's deep fascination with the human mind and soul inspired him to take up the mind as his object of study. Along the way, this passion, together with his love of music, led to expressing his reflections on human relationships through songs.

Born in the 60s, Eric was exposed to music at a very young age. A classically trained pianist at first, he gained considerable inspiration from artists of the 1970s' British pop-rock wave, notably Paul McCartney.

It was while studying medicine that Eric began composing his first piano-voice songs. Following his graduation in psychiatry, he continued to write songs in his spare time. But it wasn't until 2010 - with the encouragement of his wife, two children and friends - that he began to work on his first studio album. This Thing Between You And Me, to be released in May 2012, was recorded at Studio Planet in Montreal with the help of producer Daniel Cinelli and a crew of devoted musicians and assistants.

The album's songs are written entirely in English, something the French Canadian songwriter attributes to his early musical and creative influences that shaped his pop-rock sound - rather than a conscious choice, the lyrics were a natural fit with his music. The philosophy behind his music shaped the writing of his earliest songs and will continue to do so in the coming years.
